Wing 2 Wing Donates $1,000,000 to Operation HOPE

The Wing 2 Wing Foundation recently partnered with the Operation HOPE Organization to improve economic opportunities and financial literacy across marginalized communities. Wing 2 Wing contributed $1,000,000 towards Operation HOPE’s 1865 Project, which aims to help close the racial wealth gap across the United States.

The Wing 2 Wing Organization is constantly seeking avenues to promote economic equality, and forging a partnership with Operation HOPE will contribute significantly towards this goal. Wing 2 Wing co-founder, Brad D. Smith, said “The Wing 2 Wing Foundation is committed to leveling the playing field of opportunity, and financial literacy is essential to uplifting all communities. We are proud to partner with Operation HOPE as they continue to cultivate financial wellness and prosperity for all”.

While the 1865 Project is a nationwide effort, Wing 2 Wing’s contribution will directly provide aid to West Virginians. “Specifically, we will be able to deploy HOPE financial coaching and small business support in the Fairfield community of Huntington, WV,” said John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Operation HOPE when discussing the partnership with Wing 2 Wing.

Program participants will be able to utilize Operation HOPE services at no cost.

This partnership will help The HOPE 1865 project serve some of the hardest-to-reach and most underserved communities across the country, including right here in Appalachia.
