Part one of Qualtrics’s docuseries “work: new.0” follows the journey of Ascend West Virginia participant Nkem Nwankwo and his decision to leave Denver, Colorado for Morgantown, West Virginia. Nkem was chosen from a pool of 7,500 applicants to be among the program’s first 50 participants.
In the video, Nkem discusses how, as a network engineer, his job can be performed from anywhere. The video highlights the quality-of-life improvements that Nkem has discovered by participating in Ascend West Virginia and gives glimpses into the sprawling house and property that Nkem now calls home.
Also featured in the segment is Paris Winfrey, Ascend West Virginia Experience Coordinator. During the installment, he discusses the program, its first cohort and the broader vision for West Virginia.
